DCIC Board

By Ohio law, any group of stakeholders seeking to establish a SID must first establish a corporation that will represent the interests of the potential SID. In order to create a Special Improvement District for downtown Cleveland, the Downtown Cleveland Improvement Corporation (DCIC) was formed.

The work of DCIC is guided by more than 150 SID members and a 23 person Board of Directors. DCIC's Board is responsible for deciding how assessment dollars are used. Based on member input, guidance for use of SID funds is set. Then DCIC, through it's contract relationship with the non-profit Downtown Cleveland Alliance, directs DCA how to spend the assesment funds to provide programs and initiatives for the district. The DCIC Board was formed in 2005, and represents all geographic areas of the SID. Board members serve three-year terms, and vacancies are filled through elections.
